Shades Help Save You From Allergies

Sunglasses do more than just add style to your face and protect your eyes from sunlight. They actually help block allergens from entering your body, according to a recent Turkish study. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.

Study participants — all suffer from seasonal allergies — were given both Claritin and nasal spray. Half of those individuals wore sunglasses during the day. Those with shades on every day had fewer allergy-related problems.

Sunglasses do a decent job of preventing pollen from entering your eyes and nasal area.

“This doesn’t surprise me,”  says Leonard Bielory, M.D., of Rutgers University. “We tell people that contact lenses improve ocular allergy, and when an ocular allergy is improved, nasal allergy improves.” Dr. Bielory says that the eyes and nose are directly connected in what he calls a “reflex arc.”

Not all shades provide the same amount of protection. Shades with large, wraparound-style lenses are best for blocking allergens.

Khloe Kardashian Drops ‘Odom’ From Twitter Name

When the love of a man’s life drops his name from her’s (on social media), is that a good sign or a bad sign? In the case of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s relationship, it is safe to say that things are going south.

We told you earlier in the week about reports of Lamar’s cheating and drug abuse. Earlier in the month, Khloe dropped “Odom” from her Instagram account. This week, she made the same change to her Twitter page. There is no way Lamar is feeling good about any of this.

Here’s the kicker- Khloe made the change to her Twitter on the day of her and Lamar’s fourth wedding anniversary. Ouch!

Let us know what you think will happen to Khloe and Lamar’s marriage by answering the poll question below.

Kanye West Loses All Control, Unleashes Twitter Fury Jimmy Kimmel’s Way

Just when it seems like Kanye West may not be the angry, arrogant, out-of-control guy many perceive him to be, he does something extraordinarily hurtful to bring us back to our original thoughts.

You’re thinking, “what happened this time?” Let me give you the summary.

Earlier this week, late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel mocked Kanye’s recent BBC Radio 1 interview. Did you miss the  original interview? Check that out first:

Kanye’s statements about being “the biggest rock star” gained a lot of attention, especially from Kimmel. He responded to the interview with the following skit:

Millions of people laughed their a**es off… but not Kanye. He immediately flipped out on Kimmel  over Twitter.

“JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES … OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD P**** IN YOUR LIFE…” Kanye tweeted.

“YOU CAN’T PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. YOUR FACE LOOKS CRAZY … IS THAT FUNNY? … OR IF I HAD A KID SAY IT WOULD IT BE FUNNY???”

A lot more was said, but you can see that on Kanye’s Twitter. You can also see Kimmel’s twitter responses here.

This in no way is over. We’ll let you know what happens next.

As TMZ points out… the purpose of Kimmel’s skit was to shed light on Kanye’s childish behavior… LOL!
